The Golden Age of TV ended in the mid-80s, IMHO.
Or maybe it began to die then.
AM radio was pretty much decomposed and rotten by then!

I am grateful to have caught the tail end of that era. We used to look forward
to the next exciting installMINT of our favourite weekly shows.

For me it was Baa Baa Blacksheep, WKRP and SOAP.
I wouldn’t miss those shows for anything.

We had pitched debates on who was the better looking gal at WKRP.
I could never make a decision on that one.

Rest in peace, Loni.

  1. Sit Coms back then were better written. My Aunts prefer METV, stations with the older comedies. If they had a Red Skelton - Carol Burnett station, it would get plenty of viewership. Those people and their skits were hilarious !

As for WKRP, Bailey got my vote. Similar to the Ginger vs. Mary Ann, I'm drawn to the less flashier.

  2. I was hoping to hear it was Jane Fonda.

  3. No disrespect to the late Loni Anderson, but it's Jan Smithers for me.

  4. Victoria Principal was my crush as an boy! I hope she's not on the soon to be dead bingo card.
