I’m seeing a trend here. The alarmists tend to be military guys like Bracken. I have no problem with them, I love the squaddies and the sun truly rises and sets on them. But…. They are trained and conditioned to see and evaluate threats. They always have to plan for the worst case scenario. They are trained and conditioned to react to those threats too. Most are clamouring about nukes and canned sunshine. Even calm, rational men like Doug MacGregor are doing it. (He really worries me…unlike the hand waving faggotry like Aesop and Peter Grant…MacGregor is actually a blooded military man with experience in command and sober geopolitical analysis).
Nevertheless… I don’t see it. The royal court in Washington has to be in chaos right now. 70% of Americans are against the war in the Kraine, and are spitting nails after being robbed of another 61 billion dollars to fund it. Where is that money going? Certainly not for weapons procurement…the west literally has nothing left to sell. The war itself was over 6 months ago, and the smarter kids that have a pulse knew it was over the day it started). I can see escalating this thing resulting in govts toppling and even a few deserving souls getting shot by their angry citizens.
Things can always go sideways. But… there’s going to be a LOT of sabre rattling, bluffing and BSing to be done first. The fun and games by our lunatics on the left will continue until someone puts a stop to it.

Their current leader, Duda, has been talking to the Amuricans about possibly basing nuclear weapons in their country, something which seems unbelievably boneheaded. He claims that the Russians might make him do it because they have nukes in Belorussia. Think about this, good sir; the Russians were mighty exercised about NATO basing nuclear weaponry in Ukraine, in conjunction with the chat about Ukraine becoming a member of NATO as some sort of reasonable move. In what significant way would your doing that differ from Ukraine doing that? The encroachment/encirclement would be just the same geographically; land and air based weaponry mere minutes from Russia’s main population centers.
