The Filthie Prepper

I am afraid I have an unsavoury confession to make. There’s no nice way to say it so I’ll just come right out and say it: I will do unsavoury, despicable and unspeakable things in exchange for pickled beets. I will sell my soul, perform horrible, demeaning sexual acts with farm animals, and betray my loved ones in exchange for a single jar. (Think of Randy off the Trailer Park Boys when he became a Cheese Burger Whore to support his habit). I know this admission will scandalize my fan boys like Cederq, Chutes and may even traumatize Pete and Jack…they see me as a role model and think I am a hero that walks on water). But…I am a man with flaws just like any other. ☹️


Are fermented veggies the same as pickles?
They must be…?

I used to brew beer and wine 100 years ago and shouldn’t toot my own horn… but I was a legend at it and have the gut to show for it! The secret was simple - be patient and let that stuff age. Most of my beer aged at least 90 days down in the Reclusium. I was scrupulously clean and meticulous in my methods and by Godfrey… it showed. Neighbours and friends tried to pry trade secrets from me but all I did, really, is follow the directions and take a little extra time on ageing and presto! Beer worthy of kings!

Fermented veggies? I got this kit from the wife as an unexpected gift. Can a stubfart hare lipped retard ferment his own veggies? My friends - we shall find out!!!

  1. Good luck with the pickled beets. I'm at two months now with homemade vanilla extract. Grey Goose Vodka and Grade A vanilla beans. I have to wait at least 6 months.

  2. Maybe you should try to ferment tobacco seeds. That way they'll be good for something...

  3. The oldest offspring has the same fermenting kit. She does a mean pickled shredded carrots, they are amazing in dumplings.
