The last time I ate at Waffle House was the 1st week of 2015, driving from So. Cal. to Tennessee with my wife and nephew (and 3 trucks and trailers). The unanimous conclusion was, it is the Awful House. Nobody actually threw up, but it was iffy for the wife for a bit. Also caught some weird, flu like something at the start.
I've got a roach coach parked outside the home depot. I've never eaten there, but a lot of folks do and business must be good, because it's always there.
A good friend has a SIL who scored the hot dog cart franchise outside a Home Depot somewhere in Colorado. She worked it about ten years, sold it for a fortune, and retired rich in her '50's.
