One of the things that has bothered me with lever actions is how to clean them properly. Don't you have to clean them by pushing a rod from the muzzle end and risk damaging the crown? I love the idea of a takedown Browning lever action in stainless with laminate stock. To me they look like a field-tool, meant for the worst conditions. They can also be cleaned chamber-to-muzzle like my bolt guns and best of all - they don't look like a rifle if prying eyes watch you walk out of the house.
A 25-20 or 35-20 perhaps. Mdl.92 Winchester (perhaps?).

ReplyDeleteWinchester '86 ? Beautiful take-down rifle. More art than tool.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the magazine tube slides forward so the barrel can be rotated, what a piece of art.
